Photo stuff...

Yesterday we all got to go to the Imaging Technology Show at Darling Harbour. It was amazing! They had a whole bunch of photo-related 'stuff'...

It was great!

Some cool things:
- I got to try the 85mm 1.2L on my camera. Yay Canon stand!
- Got to take part in a lighting tutorial by Peter Coulsen. He showed us how to set up lights one by one to catch ambient light, then skin glow, eye catchlights, hair etc etc. Cool. The pictures coming straight out of camera for him...were stunning. Decided I should ditch photoshop and practice more.
- Then saw photoshop/lightroom demo...decided to retain photoshop until I can get Lightroom :)
- Saw a tonne of machines and imaging things. Impressed with the new munki monitor callibration system. Also considered getting a loan for $40,000 so I could make photo books. Jack thought I was being hasty..... (:P). Decided to convince my sister she should buy one instead (she owns the largest graphic/signwriting business in the Snowy).
- Got some great photo mags for free...and all the usual stuff. Even randomly had a huge canvas print of the taj mahal given to us....???
- Caught the gallery for an Australia wide photo comp...I love looking at other photos...inspiring!

Looks like they are planning another one in California next February. Should be a good time if you're headed to Cali by any chance....the Sydney version was anyway.

That sounds seriously dangerous!

But way too much fun!
