So yay, now we are both camera equipped for our journeys all around....(oh wait...we're trying to save $ so our 'journeys' will be limited to an hours radius or so of our house :) ). Im so excited to be able to go out and have fun as a family and share such a fun medium with my sweet.
Now with this in mind I bring you my frustration. I kinda am not liking the 50D. I thought I would love it. I was ready to love it. There is a lot I am impressed with. But I seem to be getting REALLY bad noise compared to the 40D...??? Last week for example, I took some maternity portraits and used a 24-70 L and studio lighting and still had noise issues at 100%. Yesterday, I used this lens and my 100mm prime and a 580 EXII flash and still had similar issues. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this, or have I just got a dud camera? I really thought my mismanagement of light was the issue but Im thinking that its not. We also got a new huge monitor and I wondered if somehow it was just showing things in more detail, but I compared it to the 40D pics and its not. hrmmm. And I guess that unless someone wants to print it at a ridiculously large size, they probably wont notice...but I dont like that its there, particularly in high contrast areas.
Yesterday I got to take photos of the youngest lil girl in our church congregation. Little Susannah is just 12 days old. Cuteness. See?
She's just like a lil doll.....Heather made this flower- isnt she talented? (Heather- I could EASILY sell these for you over here....pleaaase make some more?).

She just didnt want to go to sleep the whole time! haha. She slept for maybe 5-10 minutes....cheeky chops.

But when she did sleep, I *tried* to make the most of it. Where is Terah when you need her?

I know its been done before...but I love this shot.

Then I began my search for the perfect newborn toes shot...it didnt happen, but I had fun trying! :)

So yes, photos and babies and mostly all things fun for me this week. I even managed to completely clear out the rest of Jaydes room. AND our storage shed. And our own bedroom. I even scrubbed the ceilings on monday. I think with all the pregnancies and babies around me I am going into sympathy-nesting! hehe. Next week we have VBS...and then a week of delicious school holidays with my girl. I have stuck to my diet for 3 whole weeks as of tomorrow...and yesterday I found out I got the top mark in my uni classes. Oh happy days!!! The one spanner in the works this week was a bout of flu from the kids...Levi had another febrile convulsion with an ultra high temperature, but after just 2 days of antibiotics they are bouncing at their bounciest. (And....*whispers* so far...I...am...not....sick).
Thank you Lord for this rich time of rest and joy and peace...thank you for making even the yuk jobs a joy and a service to my family. I pray that my focus will be on you and your glory and not on mine & earthly rewards. Amen.

I'm sorry I can't help with your photo woes. To me, your pictures look wonderful! New babies are so sweet and change sooooo quickly,
I especially like the shot taken from the top of baby's head, with mom? holding. And also #1 0f the series and #3 of the ones with the black background.
That is too bad that your littles are unwell. How frightening that Levi has convulsions! We've never had that happen, but Mel's older boy did once when he was about Levi's age. Fever related and he quit breathing. Very scary :o(
Big congratulations on your university marks!!! And your diet and housecleaning victories. I need to kick back into gear and finish my spring cleaning :oS
You know, I'd be happy to supply you with crochet stuff to market but I have no idea what is okay to sell internationally and don't know how to find out.
Craig and I discussed e-Bay (becuse Paypal makes money transactions easy), but I'm not ready at this time to be responsible to mail out individual parcels. If you are serious about wanting to sell and have any suggestions I would be happy to talk about it.
Love you bunches. And heaps. And gobs :o)

Just ask Crystal how easy it is to get Adah to sleep! We tried for 3(?) hours one morning with no luck. She is a live-wire!
What a beautiful girl!
And these shots are great!
I love the last one of the little feet!
So glad to hear you're having such a great vacation!
love these photos! I'm sure her mama is going to adore them all!
Your pictures are beautiful!
As for the camera... it has noise, but it wasnt obnoxiously colorful like the rebel...
