An Apocalyptic Moment...

This morning, behind our blinds, there was a vibrant amber coloured glow. When we looked outside everything was glowing bright orange...and its now sort of a strong sepia. In the air hangs a very thick mist - but its made out of dust, not water. We've also got winds of up to 100km an hour. Very strange.

Took this photo out of this mornings online news to show you what I mean....

This is an accurate representation. So odd!

Because of all the dust, flights have been delayed, highways have been closed...hmmm. Whether or not its just a dust storm, it does make you stop and think about the end of the world as we know it........am I ready? are we ready? are you ready?

How Weird!
Hmmm... I think I would've thought we were bombed or something like that! Chad wonders if you'll see a redish moon tonight??
Times like this remind me of how far away you guys actually are to us!

Shelby- my initial thought was that bushfires had struck. We have had such a dry winter and its been unseasonably warm ...had the hottest August in Australia's recorded weather history; September is shaping up for more of the same.

But its just...dust! So weird. Driving around today every car was just caked in a layer of red dust. Mine was in the garage and still copped it! Crazy.
