We've been praying for a while about whether or not to buy a house; I actually dont care so much about owning anything but I think for Jack its more important. I dont really like the idea of being a slave to a mortgage and homes in this area are pretty expensive....but if thats what God wants for our family Im sure He will open those doors.
Well a long time ago I typed in criteria at realestate.com.au, which will basically email me every time a new house gets listed that is within our price range & search criteria. Its pretty rare that a house comes up in that range....
Just last night, I had 2 people email me asking if I could take photos of their kids against graffiti walls. They had seen the ones I had taken of Levi (and another little boy) and wanted something similar. I remarked dryly to Jack that we should just get some 'boyz' to tag the wall by our new back fence...so I could have a graffiti wall whenever I need it :P
This is the house that came up in my search criteria today. HA HA HA HA HA. God has a very funny sense of humour!

On a more positive note, last Saturday night I was talking about blowing our savings on a trip to Turkey & Greece. I have been to Turkey & Lesbos before exactly 10 years ago this month, but Jack hasnt and well, I am a bit travel obsessed. I was talking about how we could do a 'Pauls missionary' trip...go through the places of the 7 churches of Revelation, Tarsus, check out Troy, Mt Ararat & go to Greece etc. Maybe even skip over to Cairo & Petra for a few days. Sounds good to me! Jack (ever cautiously) replied that it sounded fantastic but didnt want to rush into anything. I got giddy with excitement. Just the thought of this sort of thing makes me physically giddy. Giddy. GIDDY. In fact, Im giggling in giddiness right this second. Anyways...the next morning our Pastor was up in the NT and so an elderly man from our congregation preached. He said he was GOING to preach from Revelation....but had decided to give us a history lesson on- THE 7 CHURCHES OF REVELATION! I was on giddy overload.
If you feel the urge, be praying that we can see Gods will for us; we need some counsel on making wise financial decisions. I dont want to make home ownership or travel an idol or stumbling block for our family.

God is so funny sometimes indeed! We are in the same boat as you guys with the whole getting our own place. We want our own place... but don't know if that's what is best... God really has to guild us this next year, and I have no doubt He will! Same with you guys! Hmmm.... I'd really wonder if you're to go on that trip or not?? That's weird timing for the pastor to bring that up! God is amazing isn't HE??!
soo. . what's wrong with that house?
Craig
Shelby- Hope the move is going well! As I pray about Gods will for our family I will remember to pray for you guys too. I'm not too bothered, I know I can completely trust and depend on Gods perfect timing :)
Craig- *sisterly glare and punch in the arm* :P
