Sweet and sour.
A dreamer and a determined one.
One creative, one destructive.
One carefree, one calculating.
One lost in an imaginary world, one firmly anchored in realism.
One spontaneous, one meticulous.
A girl who is too happy to fuss, and a boy who cares so very deeply.
I know I shouldnt compare.
But sometimes, on the same day, in the same place....
I see them.
Like two different sides of the same scene.
Both needed.
Both beautiful.
Both devoted to each other.
Both embedded in my heart.
I wouldnt change a thing.
My cup overflows!

Very well said...
as always!
Karina,
I wouldn't say you shouldn't compare them. Often beauty and individuality stand out more when compared. Just don't pick a favorite, or value one above another. Comparison adds perspective and is good in my view. I compare all the time. Helps me understand them better. We are all different. These comparisons help us see through each others' eyes.
Just my thoughts.
Great observations, though. Obviously from a mother who loves her children. We miss you.

:) Craig- we miss you guys so much. I was flicking through photos of our trip the other day and was like 'waaaah, lets move back tomorrow!'.
I think its a natural thing to compare. What I meant is maybe...compare in public. Where people may not necessarily understand that I'm not implying something negative or hurtful about one or the other; I love them both just as they are. The other 'danger' I see is 'pidgeon-holing' their personalities before they are fully developed. Wait...are our personalities ever 'fully developed'? ")
We miss all you guys. Post more pictures of the kids, or at least email some over. *sniff sniff*.
This is so incredibly beautiful.
And so are both of those babies.
Great thoughts, Craig.
