Wettest holiday ever- day 2 & 3

Started out Day 2 by heading straight to Seaworld. In the rain.

Fortunately, I packed raincoats for the kids. But Jack & I swung by the shops before heading to Seaworld to pick up two trendy ponchos & a couple of umbrellas. *smart*.
Carousel rides. I think I enjoyed it more than the kids! hehe.

Had to go see the polar bear. Do you see it? Right behind Jayde?

Right there- next to her...that big, white blob.

Oh, this shot is better... he was HUGE.

Stopped in to see some Sesame St theatre. S. St always creeped me out as a kid. Levi is a big Oscar fan though....
(photo taken by Jayde)

Then it was off to see the dolphin show. In the rain.

Excuse the photos- it was really too wet to be changing lenses!

Then some more rides...
Then we headed over for this all day buffet lunch type deal. Apparently you can go in and out as many times as you want in one day. If only we'd realised this earlier.... :). We went in just once.
Then checked out the seal show. In the rain.

Our kids made other wet kid friends.

Over to the sting rays.
Very mouldy.
Jayde touched them...

Levi touched them....
Jack touched them....

And I fed them... :). Actually, we all fed/touched them...but this was the only picture I had of feeding them. Our hands stunk for hours.
The kids loved the log ride. So Jack sat down. And I took them on the log ride. 8 times in a row. The best part about rain...is that there are no queues.

Levi walked around the entire day with no tanties, crankies or sulkies. He had a lot of cheekiness though.

Dad took Jayde on some 'bigger' rides...

Jayde took Levi on some 'little' rides...

Jayde was a big hit with the little kids....

We left Seaworld right at closing after a nice hot chocolate.
Then we headed out for the Seaworld 'city lights' cruise- which was part of our ticket. I dont really know why we went!? lol. I think if we had realised it was 2 hours long...we might have gotten back in the car!
I think we went mostly because Jack and I were too tired to drive back to the hotel.

There were about 10 people on board a 3 decker cruise ship. *giggle*
I took this photo in the pouring rain. It has terrible noise. But the sky was pretty. Wouldve been reallllly nice if the sun was actually setting after a sunny day :).

The most exciting thing about the cruise for the kids (okay, AND the adults) was the orange juice.
This is Levi's "can I have some peeeease?" face...

This is Levi's "you havent given me an answer yet but Im going to grab it anyway and smile and try to get you to say yes" face...

This is Levi's "I won!" face...

And after the cruise we drove back to the hotel and crashed.

The next day was the wettest and probably the most low key day of the trip.

Jayde lined up Levi & their Seaworld souveneirs and played photographer.

(by Jayde)

Since she was in a 'photo' mood. I took her photo outside our hotel room. In the drizzling rain.

She looks so grown up here. *sniff*.

We then went outlet shopping. The Gold Coast is the place to be for all kinds of surf brands etc. We dont have ROSS over here. This is the next best thing.
And dont worry, Im not really a superficial consumer.....most of the time.

In the afternoon we went swimming back at the hotel. In the rain.
Jack took Levi in the hot spa.
And I raced Jayde to pick up toys from the bottom of the pool.
Which was very funny.
Finished the day with dinner and a movie.
And thus ended day 3.

Man, that's the pits that it rained the whole time. It was, like, 80* and sunny in Arizona! =)
It was also sunny in Colorado but there was a lot of snow on the ground.

I can't believe you guys touched that thing! Eeeeeewww! Sea creatures really get to me. And bugs. And big, man-eating land animals. And dogs. And midgets. Yes, I said that. It's a story for another time.

What do they feel like? (Um...sting-rays, not midgets.)

Now I feel all convicted to get my vay-cay pics up on the blog....tomorrow. =)
