1- HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEATHER! Love you soooo much! Hope you had a very special day...yesterday...:D
2- Yesterday I entered a photo on PW's flickr group. I usually dont bother, but tried with the macro entries last week and didnt get chosen. Since this week is landscapes...and they are not my forte...didnt think I'd stand a chance. But I'm up there on her group 2 selections! Hooley Dooley! So c'mon blogging friends- go and leave some nice comments :D. About 50% of comments have been along the lines of 'the pictures are so PS'd that they dont look like real pictures etc'. :S Okay, I confess, I ran a boost action...and did a little vignette...and some levels adjustment. But the rest was just slow exposure and an oil spill on the rocks..:P
3- Jack got me a sewing machine. I am going to teach myself how to sew :). I have no idea what Im doing. But so far...I've had lots of fun buying material & other random sewing things I may need along the way. Yesterday I washed a full load of various fabrics...and hung them out to dry...and then ironed it all for 3 hours :S. This process is not as fun as I thought it would be.....
4- Tired! We finally got some coldish weather. Sun in shining, but there is a chill in the air. Perfect! But it makes you feel so...sleepy all the time.
5- Jayde is back at school for Term 2 of Year 2. It's all systems go! Jayde came home last week and remarked on what an 'excellent listener' she was. I asked her if that was what her teacher had said and she replied 'no, I could just tell myself that I was listening excellently'. lol.
6- 17-18th April. This weekend was a busy one. Jayde was a flower girl (and I was a matron of honour). Jayde also played in the State Championships for t-ball...about a 1.5 hr drive from the wedding. So she went from this
to this
7- The wedding was lovely. I felt like a christmas ham, but it was all good. Everyone laughed and awww'ed at my speech which was a great relief for me! The ceremony & reception were really wonderful...bride was heartbreakingly beautiful...great weekend!
8- T-ball tournaments are intense! 10 games in 2 days. The two top teams were like robots...they never dropped a catch or missed a hit. They were making triple plays constantly...some innings lasted 2 minutes or less. Crazy! Jayde's team did well, and came 5th from 12. They wouldve been playing for 3rd or 4th, but lost the deciding game by 2 runs right at the end. We had some 'proud parent moments' where you dont want to brag but feel so relieved for your child :). Jayde is the shortest & youngest on her team (she is 7 and most of the team are 9 or 10). The coaches on the other teams would see her step up to bat and call in all the outfielders to come closer. HA! She smacked balls clear out of the diamond every time...none were caught out...phew. No home runs, but she got to 3rd base off almost every hit. She makes me feel so lazy and unathletic.
9- Went to see a podiatrist specialist person. Turns out not only do I have the heel spur, but I have torn the plantar fascia tendon in my foot. Had to go and buy some mens running shoes with inserts. How can you wear running shoes everywhere without looking bogan?
10- At school scripture on Tuesday, Jayde was affected by the 'new creation in Christ'/butterfly metaphor. She came home with a fire & brimstone sermon and got her wires confused when she explained to her brother that 'you know how greedy little caterpillars turn into butterflies? Well we are like dirty, filthy little rats that turn into butterflies when we let Jesus be in control of our hearts'. Ummm. okay. They also sang 'bullfrongs & butterflies'...which was one of Jacks favourite songs as a child. BOOOO to all the people trying to eliminate scripture from our public schools & replace it with 'ethics' classes.
10.5- My camera is looking like something is VERY wrong with it. I am getting huge amounts of unfixable noise in both horizontal & vertical bands. eeep. Suggestions?

looks like you guys have been staying busy! her dress is gorgeous!
Some of those landscapes are AMAZING, including yours, of coarse. Please forgive me for not leaving a comment. I'd rather leave one here, where you'll actually see it. LOL! (the one of the guy sitting on the edge of the grand canyon type cliff makes my stomach churn!)
Stunning pics of Jayde, as always. What a well rounded little thing she is.
The foot situation sounds painful. I'm praying it doesn't stay that way long...
She sure cleans up nicely!
What a beauty!
You guys do sound busy!
Thank you for the birthday thoughts :)
Love Jayde's transformation pictures!
And I do hope your foot heals quickly and without too much trouble.
Miss you and love you all. Hugs and kisses to the littles :)
Heather
