So much...!

We've had a lot happening lately.

And yesterday we decided that to 'get away' from it all, we'd book a trip and go to the snow. Couldnt find any accommodation left (its going to be school holidays) so instead, we are going to New Zealand. So in 2 weeks time...it looks like we're getting on a plane and getting outta here for a while. Noice!

Happenings...
- Sick. Jayde got really sick for a while (a month & still going). Like walking pneumonia sick. Levi also got sick. Jack also got sick and took his first day off work (sick leave) since he chopped half his finger off in 2005. *sigh*. Winter.

- New ministry @ church. Playtime for ages 0-5; Tuesdays 10-12. Crafts, stories, music and play. Our church has had a new fence/play equipment installed and its all very cool & exciting. First week we had over 20 mums & bubs...most of which dont go to our church, so that was great!

- VBS coming up in one more week. Im being prayerful for this because our church really doesnt have a bunch of school aged kids but we manage to usually get between 70-120 kids each day. Hopefully we'll have similar numbers (or more) this year. We have been encouraged to see one of Jaydes best friends from school (non Christian home) coming to Awana with her each week this term and are hoping that it continues & she can come to VBS as well. Her older brother has also started coming the last couple of weeks. Yay :).

- Hospital. Blegh. I was in hospital for 5 days last week. Am still not back to usual but am hoping to be soon because when I cant drive and do 'stuff', our life gets even more chaotic. I also cant go to New Zealand unless I get the all-clear from the doctor (which Im hoping to have later today).

- We got a new laptop...which promptly decided to chew up our monthly quota of internet usage (15GB) in 3 days with windows 7 updates & security updates etc. *scowl*. We were only 6 days into our billing cycle...which means that for the next 3 weeks we are back to dial-up speed internet. I know I know...worse things in life...but still...stupid computers.

- Jaydes school report came home and she did really well. Very pleased with her efforts even if she's not the nerd I thought I'd have :). Yesterday she finished reading the Adventures of the Wishing Chair which appeals to her imagination immensely. She has also taken it upon herself to do a daily bible reading for the family at the dinner table. We had an interview with her teacher who said that she is 'perfect' and an 'angel' (her words!) and kind, compassionate, responsible, trustworthy, honest and that everyone loves her. Marcia Marcia Marcia! Thats a relief because we always wonder how she behaves when not at home. I know Jayde isnt 'perfect' or an 'angel', but she is such a blessing and a joy to us; my cup overflows!

- Volunteering for too much stuff...am going to try to cut down and be a better steward of my time. Unfortunately blogging has taken a backseat.

- We had a long weekend in the middle of June. We travelled down to my mums place and used it as a base to travel to Wombeyan Caves. I have previously done a fair bit of abseiling and canyoning and have also been to most of the 'big' caves & drops within several hours of Sydney. But I had never been to Wombeyan before. It was sooo pretty...and even though we were the worst parents ever for dragging Jayde along when she was so ill (didnt realise how bad she was)...we had fun. I have been reading Levi the 'Going on a Bear Hunt' book for a while now and the minute we started bushwalking he started reciting the book. When he realised we were actually going into a cave he kept his eyes wide open in case we found a bear! So funny. Cant wait to go back...maybe camping in summer.

- Will attach pictures of some of the caves down below. Very hard to convey the sheer size inside. Also crisp shots are nigh impossible given that I didnt want to use my flash and I had no tripod, so bear with me.

The trek up the hill was pretty steep (okay, Im pretty unfit but still...) and here we are just before we start the descent to the entrance of the cave.

Best picnic food ever after a long walk- scotch eggs! Yum!

Also tried taking some portraits of Jayde & the levi the next day. Its always when I *want* to take pictures of them, that they dont work out! :). Here's one...with more to follow when I get time.
